Biography I completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University in 2021. My PhD research focused on data-driven process modelling and monitoring, with applications in nuclear waste vitrification. This involved developing novel data-driven modelling techniques using machine learning and multivariate statistics, as well as applying data-driven modelling for specific applications to Sellafield Ltd’s nuclear waste vitrification process. The project was funded by the EPSRC and Sellafield Ltd.
I joined the particle technology group as a Research Associate at Sheffield University shortly after completing my PhD in October 2021.
Research My current research interests focus on particulate process modelling, both mechanistically and data-driven. This includes working with pharmaceutical companies on modelling a twin screw granulator using gPROMS Formulated Products. Additionally, I am working on tablet compaction process and product models as a part of the DDAP project with Professor Litster.
